In the past three weeks Arezzo has become a home to me. Spending my second free weekend here gave me the opportunity to experience the culture of small town Italy.

Watching the sunset over dinner in the garden
Watching the sunset in the garden is what made me feel comfortable in Arezzo.
Playing games in the garden at sunset

Playing games, talking and listening to music brought me closer to my study abroad group.

The people truly do make the place!

We had to spend more time at our homebase during our second free weekend.
A selfie in Florence in matching I love Italy shirts

We still wanted to go to Florence, so we took a train for dinner on Friday! I got back at midnight and got to sleep in!

The pool under a clear blue sky

After a good night’s rest, I went to the pool to tan and relax.

Leaning out the window of the Annex over the town

We watched the town from the window of the Annex.

Of course, we still had to support OU and keep the baseball game on!

This weekend I wanted to go with the flow and experience Arezzo unplanned. I got to experience life with the locals at the pool and the joust, but also play tourist for dinner in Florence.
